Technology in the Classroom

Technology isn't simply a tool, though we sometimes fall into the trap of focusing on a new or fun tool without thinking pedagogically first. Thoughtfully used, technology can be an asset to improving learning and help students develop new skills, dispositions, and make new discoveries.

Browse through the Tech in Class tab to see some examples of how we might leverage digital tools while keeping pedagogy at the fore. There are tutorial videos for teachers and students, with a foundation in Social Studies content. There are samples that can be viewed and downloaded, as well as templates to copy.

Other tabs include content with the purpose of teaching students the skills to be successful in Social Studies fields such as History, Geography, Political Science, and Economics.
